Bridging Generations: Intergenerational Learning for Healthy and Active Ageing
Larsan Consulting develops support programs for ageing and later life for older adults and their close relatives. The program promotes mindful and active engagement with the experience of ageing in order to preserve and enhance quality of life, including in cases of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, while also providing support for families and the close social environment of ageing individuals. The programs are developed on the basis of the existential-analytical approach, which focuses on how an ageing person can live meaningfully in this stage of life and in relation to the world.

The primary objective of this project is to empower seniors and adult educators to lead active, healthy, and self-sufficient lives. This will be achieved by developing an online course that focuses on strengthening their physical and mental health, enhancing their social activity, and fostering their independence. The course will provide seniors with the tools and understanding necessary to maintain their well-being and stay actively engaged in their communities. In addition, the project aims to improve the skills and knowledge of those who support seniors and adult educators empower with a tool. We will create a manual to enhance their competencies in promoting quality longevity. The manual will cover topics based on existential psychology, such as the unique characteristics of old age and the importance of values in leading a meaningful life.
